There’s plenty of storyline value here with Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers facing their former team, the Packers. Rodgers and McCarthy also share the irony of winning their lone Super Bowl together against Pittsburgh. But from a betting perspective, the bigger factor is uncertainty at quarterback. Rodgers’ status remains unclear, and McCarthy has indicated that whoever starts could see only a couple of series.
That makes this a difficult game to project offensively. If the starting quarterbacks see limited action—or don't play at all—we're relying heavily on backup units, and we aren't impressed with Pittsburgh's quarterback depth. Green Bay at least has veteran Tyrod Taylor available, giving the Packers some experience behind Jordan Love.
The Hall of Fame Game went over the total and got there by halftime, but we're not chasing that result. Preseason scoring can be volatile, and with playing time and quarterback rotations uncertain, we expect a much more conservative offensive approach here.
We're expecting a lower-scoring preseason battle with both teams relying heavily on backup quarterbacks and vanilla offensive game plans. The Under is the play.

Money has certainly come on the Green Bay Packers in this preseason matchup. This line shifted significantly. But I really feel money is moving in the wrong direction. Yes, Green Bay is expected to be one of the top teams in the NFC, and also touted to win 10.0-games. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is a longshot to win their Conference, and is only expected to win approximately 8.0-games. Having said that, very few out there believe the Steelers could win their division, let alone their conference. But they have a very loyal fanbase. Playing at home in front of their loyal fans, I expect them to come out here and play this game as if it were for a title. I will admit, the Packers have some pretty big names in key backup roles. However, at the quarterback position, running back position, and wide receiver position, most people will know many of the names vying to better their slots on the Steelers team. I know there was a time under the old regime the Steelers did not care about being victorious in August. But they have a new boss at the helm, and he must establish a winning tradition, even if this is the preseason. Take the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thank you.

The Thursday NFLX Comp play is on the Over in the Tennessee at San Francisco game at 9 eastern. The Titans are playing all their starters i the game hence their 5 point road favored stats here in SF. The Niners are looking to see what they have at the back end of the roster especially on offense. Robert Saleh more of a defensive minded coach has decided to be more pro offense after seeing what happened in NY with The Jets who were anemic in scoring during his time there. The Titans will look to move the ball and emphasize scoring with their added weapons and a progressing Qb in Cam Ward and camp standout RC Nick Singleton. The Phillies have a strong path to winning tonight because the matchup quietly tilts in their favor despite recent form. Aaron Nola’s surface numbers look rough, but he’s coming off two straight outings allowing just two runs, and this neutral-site Field of Dreams environment plays directly into his strengths: command, experience, and the ability to navigate unfamiliar conditions better than a young arm. Minnesota’s Taj Bradley has been stuck in a five-start winless stretch, and Philadelphia already tagged him for four runs (three earned) in six innings the last time they saw him. The Twins’ offense has been lively, but much of that production came against Baltimore pitching that’s been leaking for weeks — and they may be easing Byron Buxton back in rather than unleashing him fully.
